- Tissue types suitable for piercing, piercing rejection areas
- Nerve pathways
- Infection signs vs. normal healing
- Anatomy for specific piercings
Tools, Jewelry & Equipment
- Types of piercing needles
- Sterile field and tool handling
- Jewelry materials (titanium, surgical steel, bioplast, )
- Jewelry sizing and gauge measurement
- Usage of receiving tubes, and clamps
- Sterile packaging and jewelry insertion
Piercing Techniques
- Marking and placement precision
- Skin preparation (antiseptics, shaving if needed)
